Stock market update: SmallCap stocks gain; Allcargo Logistics skyrockets 20%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading higher at 01:28PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Allcargo Logistics (up 20.0 per cent), HEG (up 16.68 per cent), Ambika Cotton Mills (up 11.92 per cent), CESC Ven (up 10.71 per cent) and Affle (India) (up 10.0 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Phoenix Mills (down 9.3 per cent), Albert David (down 7.94 per cent), Universal Cables (down 6.63 per cent), Polyplex Corporation (down 6.59 per cent) and Aarti Drugs (down 6.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.3 per cent up at 14899.8 around 01:28PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 18.95 points at 11485.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 101.03 points at 38900.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Phoenix Mills, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Alok Industries and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Financial Services, Affle (India) Ltd., Adani Enterpr., Timken India and IOL Chemicals hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Svaraj Trading & Agencies Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Unistar Multimedia Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., N2N Technologies Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd., Sagar Diamonds Ltd. and Ajwa Fun World & Resorts Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
