Stock market update: SmallCap stocks climb; Thomas Cook skyrockets 20%
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.64 per cent up at 15870.91.

Shares of Thomas Cook (India) (up 19.97 per cent), IIFL Finance Ltd (up 14.4 per cent), Adani Gas (up 13.42 per cent), Borosil Renewables (up 13.21 per cent) and Montecarlo (up 11.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While KPR Mill (down 5.24 per cent), Alok Industries (down 4.93 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 4.42 per cent), Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (down 4.37 per cent) and Salasar (down 4.14 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.64 per cent up at 15870.91 around 01:11PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 65.25 points at 12845.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 206.59 points at 43844.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tanla Solutions, Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Adani Gas Ltd., Astral Poly Tech, Tata Steel, Tanla Solutions and Adani Green Energy Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Pazel International Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Madhusudan Securities Ltd., Blue Coast Hotels Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Meenakshi Enterprises Ltd., Gujchem Distillers India Ltd., Starlite Components Ltd. and Square Four Projects India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
