Stock market update: Realty shares gain; Sobha rises nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the positive zone in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Sobha (up 1.84 per cent) , Sunteck Realty (up 1.40 per cent) , Godrej Properties (up 1.20 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 1.05 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.47 per cent) , Oberoi Realty (up 0.37 per cent) , DLF (up 0.19 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 0.19 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.48 per cent up at 280.45 around 10:10 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 25.20 points at 11,557.70 while the BSE Sensex was down 52.50 points at 38,770.61.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of PFC, Dish TV India, YES Bank, PNB, Vodafone Idea, REC, Ashok Leyland, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
