Stock market update: Realty shares down; Sobha falls 2%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Sobha (down 2.28 per cent) , Sunteck Realty (down 1.25 per cent) , Phoenix Mills (down 0.97 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (down 0.36 per cent) were trading lower.

Indiabulls Real Estate (down 0.23 per cent) , Godrej Properties (down 0.09 per cent) and DLF (down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.05 per cent down at 280.9 around 09:58 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 35.50 points at 12,012.70, while the BSE Sensex was down 101.93 points at 40,700.24.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Infratel, SAIL, Biocon, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, SBI and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
