Stock market update: Over 360 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE

Equity benchmarks Nifty and Sensex were swinging between gains and losses amid firm Asian cues.

NEW DELHI: Over 360 stocks, including YES Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors and Punjab National Bank, hit 52-week lows on NSE in Friday's session.

Apollo Tyres, Vodafone Idea, IDFC, Jet Airways (India), Arvind, Bank of Baroda, BEML, Can Fin Homes, Ceat, Castrol India, Indiabulls Real Estate, Jain Irrigation, JK Tyre, NBCC (India), NCC, NHPC, NIIT, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Syndicate Bank, Tata Communications, UCO Bank and V-Guard Industries also featured among stocks that touched 52-week lows today.

Telecom, metal, realty, power and apital goods stocks were under selling pressure.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 7 points up at 10,985, while the BSE Sensex was up 55 points at 36,379 around 10:40 am.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading with gains and 23 were incurring glosses.

GAIL (India), Asian Paints, Lupin, Tata Motors and HDFC were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.

YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Hero MotoCorp were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
