Stock market update: Over 30 stocks hit 52-week lows on NSE

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2 points up at 10,691, while the BSE Sensex was down 10 points at 35,156 around 10:30 am.

Vedanta, Bharti Infratel and UPL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
NEW DELHI: Over 30 stocks including Antarctica, Bharati Defence and Infrastructure, Hanung Toys and Textiles, Bharti Infratel and Manpasand Beverage hit 52-week lows on NSE during Tuesday's trade.

Indosolar, Lasa Supergenerics, Mukand Engineers, MVL, Rainbow Papers, Sundaram Finance Holdings, Vakrangee, VA Tech Wabag and Winsome Yarns also figured among stocks that touched 52-week lows.

Market was cautious due to profit-taking amid weak Asian cues as uncertainty over the US-North Korea summit and a political crisis in Italy dealt a blow to sentiment.


Auto and IT stocks were witnessing buying interest, while bank, financial and pharma stocks were suffering under selling pressure.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2 points up at 10,691, while the BSE Sensex was down 10 points at 35,156 around 10:30 am.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 pack, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Larsen & Toubro, GAIL and Lupin were trading among the top gainers in the Nifty index.

On the other hand, Vedanta, Bharti Infratel and UPL were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
