Stock market update: Nifty Financial Services index flat; M&M Fin gains nearly 2%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading flat at 11:22AM (IST) on Monday.
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 1.5 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.38 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (up 1.38 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (up 1.26 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (up 1.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While State Bank of India (down 2.01 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.48 per cent), ICICI Pru Life (down 0.52 per cent), ICICI Lombard (down 0.42 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 10747.35 around 11:22AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.75 points at 11203.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 34.15 points at 37911.49.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, NTPC and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of KIOCL Ltd., Aditya Birla Fashion (PP), APL Apollo Tube, Bajaj Elec. and MindTree hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. and Keerti Knowledge and Skills Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
