Stock market update: Nifty CPSE index advances; NBCC jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Nifty CPSE index was trading with gains at 02:29PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of NBCC (India) (up 4.93 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 4.68 per cent), NLC India (up 1.81 per cent), SJVN (up 0.45 per cent) and NMDC Ltd (up 0.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Cochin Shipyard (down 1.12 per cent), Coal India (down 1.11 per cent) and Oil India (down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The Nifty CPSE index was trading 0.35 per cent up at 1445.1 around 02:29PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was down 16.10 points at 11306.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 43.58 points at 38363.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd., Bank of Baroda and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., ITI Ltd, SBI Cards and Balkrishna Ind. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
