Stock market update: MidCap stocks mixed; Future retail jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:47PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of Future Retail (up 4.99 per cent), Bayer CropScience (up 4.59 per cent), Container Corporation of India (up 2.95 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 2.75 per cent) and Jindal Steel & Power (up 2.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bank of India (down 3.38 per cent), JSW Energy (down 2.98 per cent), Cummins India (down 2.65 per cent), Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (down 1.96 per cent) and 3M India (down 1.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.16 per cent up at 14598.59 around 01:47PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.10 points at 11441.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 55.93 points at 38784.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., Strides Shasun , NIIT Tech, Hatsun Agro and Wipro hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Jinaams Dress Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd. and Shivansh Finserve Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
