Stock market update: MidCap stocks mixed; Adani Green leaps 5%

NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 01:28PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of Adani Green (up 4.96 per cent), Cummins India (up 4.31 per cent), Info Edge (India) (up 4.14 per cent), Indian Hotels Company (up 3.59 per cent) and Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 3.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Shriram Transport Finance (down 4.85 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 4.14 per cent), LIC Housing Finance (down 3.43 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 2.71 per cent) and Canara Bank (down 2.55 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.15 per cent up at 15687.34 around 01:28PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 110.15 points at 12639.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 425.85 points at 43167.82.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ibull HousingFin and VGuard Ind. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd., Bajaj Elec., Tube Investments of India Ltd., Astral Poly Tech and Lakshmi Machine hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Spice Islands Apparels Ltd., Madhusudan Securities Ltd., Nutraplus India Ltd. and Mukat Pipes Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
