Stock market update: MidCap stocks down; LIC Housing Finance slips over 3%

NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading lower at 01:36PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Future Retail (up 6.79 per cent), Supreme Industries (up 5.16 per cent), Adani Green (up 5.0 per cent), Info Edge (India) (up 4.67 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 2.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While REC (down 3.5 per cent), LIC Housing Finance (down 3.13 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (down 3.05 per cent), 3M India (down 2.97 per cent) and Zee Entertainment (down 2.9 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 14674.37 around 01:36PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 5.10 points at 11925.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 16.07 points at 40577.73.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Alok Industries, Vedanta and Trident Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of L&T Technology Services Ltd., HCL Tech, JK Cement, Ambuja Cements and Coforge Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Goldline International Finvest Ltd., Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd., Future Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., Majestic Research Services & Solutions Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd. and Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
