Stock market update: Manpasand Beverages, Caplin Point among top losers of Tuesday's session

NEW DELHI: Indian equities snapped their three-session winning streak on Tuesday owing to losses in bank, financial, FMCG, energy and consumer durables stocks, triggered by weak global cues.

Manpasand Beverages, falling up to 20 per cent, appeared among the top losers of the day.

The stock hurtled down as auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells India quit days before its earnings announcement. The firm has cancelled its fourth quarter earnings scheduled for Wednesday.


Shares of Intrasoft Technologies (down 12.18 per cent) and Caplin Point Laboratories (down 10.29 per cent) plunged over 10 per cent.

IG Petrochemicals (down 8.08 per cent), Weizmann Forex (down 6.85 per cent), Royal Orchid Hotels (down 6.35 per cent), Bank of India (down 6.17 per cent) and Jubilant Foodworks (down 5.80 per cent) tanked over 5 per cent.

The Nifty50 fell 55 points, or 0.52 per cent, to settle at 10,633. Overall, 16 stocks remained up, while 34 down in the index.
