Stock market update: IT stocks mixed; TCS rises 1%

NEW DELHI: IT stocks were trading on a mixed note at 12:50PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Tata Consultancy (up 1.28 per cent), MPhasis (up 1.25 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Larsen & Toubro Infotech (down 2.77 per cent), Coforge (down 0.7 per cent), Wipro (down 0.65 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.37 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 18096.8 around 12:50PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.25 points at 11312.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 64.02 points at 38293.16.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Motors (DVR) and Bharti Infratel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of WABCO India, Granules India, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd., AstraZeneca and Supreme Inds. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Blue Chip India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
