Stock market update: IT shares mixed; Infosys slips 3%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Wipro (up 1.73 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 1.42 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.90 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.86 per cent) were trading in the green.

Infosys (down 2.84 per cent), Infibeam Avenues (down 0.63 per cent), NIIT Technologies (down 0.38 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.21 per cent) were trading lower.


The Nifty IT index was trading 0.28 per cent down at 15,279.75 around 10:16 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 36.55 points at 11,341.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 98.8 points at 38,225.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation, Rail Vikas Nigam, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland, JSPL and RBL Bank were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
