Stock market update: IT shares gain; OFSS rises over 3%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading higher in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Oracle Financial Services Software (up 3.77 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 1.68 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 1.33 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 1.30 per cent) were trading higher.

Mindtree (up 1.25 per cent), Wipro (up 1.25 per cent), Infosys (up 1.14 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.85 per cent) too were trading with gains.


The Nifty IT index was trading 1.38 per cent up at 15,846.95 around 10:03 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 26.35 points at 10,715 while the BSE Sensex was down 125.36 points at 36,347.57.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, DLF, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, NCC, ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
