Stock market update: Infosys, TCS among most active stocks in value terms on NSE

Equity markets were in the green amid mixed global cues.

Lupin, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Wipro, ONGC and HCL Technologies were leading the pack of Nifty gainers.
NEW DELHI: Infosys (Rs 212.81 crore) was trading as the most active stock in terms of value on NSE during morning trade on Tuesday.

It was followed by Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 175.22 crore), Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 159.95 crore) and Reliance Industries (Rs 153.73 crore).

Strides Shasun (Rs 138.57 crore), Lupin (Rs 131.26 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 124.20 crore), Sun Pharma (Rs 115.76 crore), Tata Elxsi (Rs 111.88 crore) and Tata Steel (Rs 97.00 crore) also featured among the most active stocks in terms of value, in that order.


Equity markets were in the green amid mixed global cues.

Investors were buying in IT, pharma and consumer durables counters while eyeing industrial production data for April 2018 and CPI numbers for May, to be released later today.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 18 points up at 10,805, while the BSE Sensex was up 61 points at 35,544 around 09:50 am.

In the Nifty index, 28 stocks were in the green, while 19 were in the red. Three stocks were unchanged at that time.

Lupin, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Wipro, ONGC and HCL Technologies were leading the pack of Nifty gainers.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Coal India, Vedanta, Grasim Industries and Maruti Suzuki India were among the top losers in the Nifty pack.
