Stock market update: FMCG index in the red; Britannia, HUL among top losers
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17 points at 10,719, while the BSE Sensex was 29 points down at 35,294.

Britannia Industries (down 1.55 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (HUL) (down 1.04 per cent), Colgate-Palmolive (India) (down 0.77 per cent), ITC (down 0.72 per cent), Emami (down 0.49 per cent) and United Breweries (down 0.45 per cent) too were among the losers in the FMCG index.
On the other hand, Godrej Consumer Products (up 2.12 per cent), Marico (up 1.06 per cent), Dabur India (up 1.03 per cent), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare (up 0.59 per cent) and Godrej Industries (up 0.22 per cent) were among the gainers in the index.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, SAIL, Vedanta, PFC, Ashok Leyland, State Bank of India, Tata Motors and Idea Cellular were among the most traded stocks on NSE.
Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki India and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.
However, Eicher Motors, ONGC and Tata Steel were leading among Nifty losers.
