Stock market update: Consumer Durables stocks rise; VIP Ind jumps 4%

NEW DELHI: Consumer Durables stocks were trading on a positive note at 03:13PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of VIP Industries (up 4.19 per cent), TTK Prestige (up 3.34 per cent), Orient Electric (up 2.13 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (up 1.83 per cent) and Symphony (up 1.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Blue Star (down 2.37 per cent), Crompton (down 2.08 per cent), Whirlpool of India (down 1.04 per cent) and Voltas (down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.7 per cent up at 22916.93 around 03:13PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 84.25 points at 11471.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 274.59 points at 38902.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Federal Bank, Ashok Leyland and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd. and Infibeam Avenues Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Anupam Finserv Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Megastar Foods Ltd., Suncare Traders Ltd. and B P Capital Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
