NEW DELHI: With nearly 12.82 crore shares changing hands, Reliance Communications finished Tuesday's session as the most traded stock on NSE.
It was followed by KSK Energy Ventures (number of shares traded: 4.32 crore), SAIL (3.91 crore), State Bank of India (3.14 crore), GMR Infra (2.41 crore), JP Associates (2.34 crore), PNB (2.18 crore), Unitech (1.75 crore), Bank of Baroda (1.66 crore) and Federal Bank (1.54 crore).
Healthy buying in most sectors, led by FMCG, pharma, IT, auto and bank, triggered by firm Asian cues after a historic meet between the US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gave a fillip to domestic market sentiment on Tuesday.
The equity barometer Sensex surged by 209 points, or 0.59 per cent, to end the day at 35,693, with 17 stocks advancing and 14 declining.
