Stock market update: BSE SmallCap index flat; Adani Green jumps 8%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading flat with a negative bias at 02:35PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (up 8.35 per cent), Adani Green (up 8.27 per cent), Manali Petrochemicals (up 7.66 per cent), Vardhman Textiles (up 7.16 per cent) and JBM Auto (up 6.99 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Usha Martin (down 7.97 per cent), Balaji Amines (down 7.72 per cent), Religare Enterprises (down 6.72 per cent), Hindustan Construction Company (down 6.53 per cent) and Himatsingka Seide (down 5.88 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.05 per cent down at 15017.7 around 02:35PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 108.00 points at 11667.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 418.75 points at 39532.22.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, BHEL, GMR Infra and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sun Pharma, SBI Cards, GMR Infra, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd. and Coromandel Int. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Kuber Udyog Ltd., Spice Islands Apparels Ltd., N B Footwear Ltd., Anka India Ltd., Libord Finance Ltd., Spicy Entertainment and Media Ltd. and Omansh Enterprises Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
