Stock market update: BSE Consumer Durables index slips; Crompton dips 4%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading lower at 12:46PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Crompton (down 4.15 per cent), Titan Company Ltd (down 1.35 per cent), Symphony (down 0.83 per cent) and Rajesh Exports (down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While VIP Industries (up 2.81 per cent), Sheela Foam (up 1.22 per cent), Blue Star (up 1.07 per cent), Voltas (up 0.72 per cent) and TTK Prestige (up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.


The S&P BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.91 per cent down at 21704.15 around 12:46PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.90 points at 11307.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 32.0 points at 38375.01.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Alok Industries and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., ITI Ltd, Essel Propack, M&M and SBI Cards hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Viaan Industries Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Shree Karthik Papers Ltd., Helpage Finlease Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Anubhav Infrastructure Ltd. and Rainbow Denim Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
