Stock market update: BSE Capital Goods index gains over 1%; NBCC rises over 2%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading in the green zone at 12:55PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Thermax (up 3.62 per cent), NBCC (India) (up 2.43 per cent), Adani Green (up 2.04 per cent), Siemens (up 1.93 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro (up 1.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindustan Aeronautics (down 2.9 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 2.03 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 1.92 per cent), ABB India Ltd (down 1.74 per cent) and Lakshmi Machine Works (down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.07 per cent up at 13925.25 around 12:55PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 30.15 points at 11208.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 44.64 points at 37921.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NTPC, Alok Industries and Tata Motors (DVR) were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd., KIOCL Ltd., APL Apollo Tube, Bajaj Elec. and Alkyl Amines hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Panth Infinity Ltd., Viaan Industries Ltd., Virgo Global Ltd., Kuber Udyog Ltd., Unistar Multimedia Ltd., Shree Karthik Papers Ltd., Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd., City Pulse Multiplex Ltd., Omansh Enterprises Ltd. and N2N Technologies Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
