Stock market update: BSE Capital Goods index flat; HAL leaps 8%

The index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 13348.89.

Out of the 23 stocks in the index, 11 were trading in the green while 11 were trading in the red and 1 remained unchanged.
NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading flat at 12:56PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics (up 7.96 per cent), Carborundum Universal (up 5.95 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 4.44 per cent), NBCC (India) (up 3.85 per cent) and AIA Engineering (up 1.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Honeywell Automation India (down 1.91 per cent), Graphite India (down 1.25 per cent), SKF India (down 1.21 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 1.12 per cent) and Schaeffler India (down 0.89 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 13348.89 around 12:56PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.85 points at 11313.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 15.76 points at 38391.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Alok Industries and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., ITI Ltd, SBI Cards, M&M and Essel Propack hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Viaan Industries Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Shree Karthik Papers Ltd., Helpage Finlease Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Anubhav Infrastructure Ltd. and Rainbow Denim Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
