Stock market update: BSE Capital Goods index flat; ABB India climbs 3%

NEW DELHI: BSE Capital Goods index was trading flat at 12:53PM on Tuesday.

Shares of Grindwel Norton (up 3.79 per cent), ABB India Ltd (up 2.94 per cent), Graphite India (up 2.69 per cent), Carborundum Universal (up 1.66 per cent) and Honeywell Automation India (up 1.6 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Green (down 2.58 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (down 1.63 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 1.48 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 1.39 per cent) and Thermax (down 1.33 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 13419.19 around 12:53PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 63.00 points at 11333.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 246.62 points at 38428.7.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, ITC and IDFC First Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Vaibhav Global, Garware Technical Fibres, Rossari Biotech Ltd., GMM Pfaudler and JSPL hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade.
