Stock market update: Bharti Airtel boosts BSE Telecom index
Benchmark BSE Sensex was up 174 points at 35,617, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 60 points at 10,828.

The advertising watchdog's fast track panel on complaints has upheld a complaint by Bharti Airtel against Reliance Jio's advertisements that claimed its data network being the best and the largest, and said the ads were misleading by "ambiguity" and "implication", ET reported.
Upholding other complaints of Airtel, the Fast Track Complaints Panel (FTCP) of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) ruled that Jio's claims of "best entertainment" through television commercials and YouTube ads, was not substantiated.
Shares of ITI (up 2.91 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (up 2.63 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (up 1.59 per cent) and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (up 1.39 per cent) were also trading up.
Shares of Tata Communications (up 0.95 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 0.94 per cent), Reliance Communications (up 0.63 per cent), Idea Cellular (up 0.39 per cent), GTL (up 0.25 per cent) and GTPL Hathway (up 0.16 per cent) were also in the green.
However, Tejas Networks (down 2.38 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (down 1.34 per cent), OnMobile Global (down 1.21 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (down 1.07 per cent), Himachal Futuristic Communications (down 0.67 per cent) and MTNL (down 0.58 per cent) were in the red around that time.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.
