Stock market update: Bank stock fall; IndusInd Bank dips 10%

NEW DELHI: Bank stocks were trading on a negative note at 01:07PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (down 9.8 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 3.79 per cent), RBL Bank (down 3.01 per cent), Federal Bank (down 2.73 per cent) and Bandhan Bank (down 2.51 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 2.13 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.8 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.69 per cent down at 28408.8 around 01:07PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.60 points at 12637.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 98.69 points at 43178.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, YES Bank, Tata Motors and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Tata Steel (PP), Balkrishna Ind., Zydus Wellness, Kotak Bank and UltraTech Cem. hit their fresh 52week high in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Sanginita Chemicals Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Deep Energy Resources Ltd., CKP Leisure Ltd., SKIL Infrastructure Ltd., SS Infrastructure Development Consultants Ltd., Industrial Investment Trust Ltd., WABCO India Ltd. and Laurus Labs Ltd. hit fresh 52week low in trade.
