Stock market update: 94 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 40.45 points down at 14656.05 on Friday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Transmission, Amrutanjan HealthCare, BSE, Greenpanel Industries, NBI Industrial Finance, Polycab India, Tata Motors, UPL, Prince Pipes And Fittings and Nath Bio-Genes (India).

Overall, 14 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 36 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, UPL , ITC, Britannia and Nestle India were among top gainers, while Hindalco, Coal India Ltd, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries and Tata Motors were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 40.34 points down at 48650.46. Traders were seen piling up position in Building Materials, Tobacco, Aquaculture, Diversified and Pesticides/Agro Chemicals sectors, while selling were visible in Gems and Jewellery, Plastics, Chemicals, Mining and Sugar sectors.
