Stock market update: 90 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

The BSE Sensex was trading 93.38 points up at 48770.93.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 46.25 points up at 14664.10 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Ador Welding, Ajanta Pharma, Anupam Rasayan, Apollo Hospitals, Deepak Nitrite, JSW Steel, Marico, PI Industries, Saregama, Supreme Industries, Tata Steel and Vedanta.

Overall, 30 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 19 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, JSW Steel, Hero MotoCorp and Eicher Motors were among top gainers, while Bharti Airtel, Shree Cements, UPL , Tata Consumer and SBI Life were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 93.38 points up at 48770.93. Traders were seen piling up position in Metals - Ferrous, Diversified, Electric/Electronics, Metals - Non Ferrous and IT Enabled Services sectors, while selling were visible in Plastics, Sugar, Glass, Holding Company and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors.
