Stock market update: 77 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 129.25 points up at 14807.05 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Birla Corporation, Dalmia Bharat, Eris Lifesciences, Hester Biosciences, NBI Industrial Finance, UPL, Orient Cement, KPIT Technologies, Greenpanel Industries and CDSL.

Overall, 35 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 14 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, UPL , IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Bajaj Finserv and SBI were among top gainers, while Cipla, L&T, Tata Steel, JSW Steel and NTPC were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 464.01 points up at 49196.56. Traders were seen piling up position in Building Materials, Pesticides/Agro Chemicals, Tobacco, Diversified and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors, while selling were visible in Gems and Jewellery, Mining, Plastics, Chemicals and Trading sectors.
