Stock market update: 68 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Overall, 20 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 30 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 89.95 points down at 48788.59.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 19.80 points down at 14352.10 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Transmission, Apollo Tyres, Bajaj Auto, Grasim Industries, IFB Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Coffee, Tata Consultancy Services, TVS Motor Company, UltraTech Cement, V-Mart Retail and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra).

Overall, 20 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 30 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Grasim Industries, UPL , Cipla, Axis Bank and Bajaj Finserv were among top gainers, while RIL, ONGC, Tata Motors, Eicher Motors and HCL Tech were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 89.95 points down at 48788.59. Traders were seen piling up position in Rubber, Metals - Ferrous, Construction, General and NBFC sectors, while selling were visible in Cables, Trading, Services, Building Materials and Tyres sectors.
