Stock market update: 63 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Overall, 30 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 20 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 87.47 points down at 44172.27.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 12.30 points down at 12974.70 on Friday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Apollo Tyres; Bajaj Finance; CG Power and Industrial Solutions; Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals; Emami Ltd; Grasim Industries; Info Edge (India); Shoppers Stop; Tata Steel; TVS Motor Company; Varun Beverages; Wockhardt Ltd.

Overall, 30 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 20 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Britannia Inds. and Bajaj Finance were among top gainers, while HDFC Life, PowerGrid, TCS, Hindalco Inds. and SBI were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 87.47 points down at 44172.27. Traders were seen piling up position in Miscellaneous, General, Diversified, Aquaculture and Metals - Ferrous sectors, while selling were visible in Agro Processing, Trading, Textiles, IT Software and Rubber sectors.
