Stock market update: 45 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 204.25 points down at 11726.10 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Havells India; Jet Airways; CEAT Ltd; APL Apollo Tubes; Gujarat Sidhee Cement; AGC Networks; Ester Industries; Godawari Power And Ispat; Dr. Lal Path Labs; Bafna Pharmaceuticals; Biofil Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals.

Overall, 10 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 40 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Nestle India, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd., IndusInd Bank, Larsen & Toubro and PowerGrid were among top gainers, while Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Inds., JSW Steel and RIL were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 683.10 points down at 40002.40. Traders were seen piling up position in Retail, Construction, Industrial Equipment, Sugar and Holding Company sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Agro Processing, IT - Hardware, Irrigation & Allied Services and Auto sectors.
