Stock market update: 32 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 233.75 points up at 14558.65 on Friday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Godrej Industries, JSW Steel, CDSL, NRB Industrial Bearings, Orchid Pharma, Pritish Nandy Communications, Privi Speciality Chemicals, Prism Johnson, AGC Networks and Praj Industries.

Overall, 49 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 1 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, Asian Paints and Hindalco were among top gainers, while Power Grid, Dr. Reddy's, UPL , Maruti Suzuki and RIL were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 729.85 points up at 49169.97. Traders were seen piling up position in Metals - Ferrous, Diversified, Logistics, Building Materials and Mining sectors, while selling were visible in Plastics, Infrastructure, IT - Hardware, Consumer Durables and Airlines sectors.
