Stock market update: 31 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 7.30 points down at 12638.40 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Balkrishna Industries; Escorts Ltd; JSW Steel; HDFC Bank; Amara Raja Batteries; Prism Johnson; Salasar Techno Engineering; Zydus Wellness; UltraTech Cement; Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Overall, 37 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 13 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco Inds., Kotak Bank, Axis Bank and Eicher Motors were among top gainers, while IndusInd Bank, RIL, Titan Company , Asian Paints and Britannia Inds. were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 31.78 points down at 43245.87. Traders were seen piling up position in Holding Company, Hospitals & Allied Services, Power, Metals - Ferrous and Textiles sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Gems and Jewellery, Tourism & Hospitality, IT - Hardware and Apparels sectors.
