Stock market update: 30 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

The BSE Sensex was trading 170.75 points down at 39751.71.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 59.50 points down at 11670.10 on Thursday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Green Energy; APL Apollo Tubes; AGC Networks; CG Power and Industrial Solutions; Havells India; HBL Power Systems; Hexaware Technologies; Jet Airways; Just Dial; Lakshmi Machine Works; Likhitha Infrastructure; Precot Meridian.

Overall, 16 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 34 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cem., Dr. Reddys Laborat, Kotak Bank and Bharti Airtel were among top gainers, while Larsen & Toubro, ONGC, Tata Motors, Adani Ports SEZ and Titan Company were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 170.75 points down at 39751.71. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Airlines, Building Materials, Metals - Ferrous and Power sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Agro Processing, Construction, IT Enabled Services and Gems and Jewellery sectors.
