Stock market update: 30 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

In the Nifty 50 index, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC, ONGC and GAIL were among top gainers, while UPL , Eicher Motors, Divis Laboratories, Hero MotoCorp and Cipla were trading in red.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 103.20 points up at 11865.65 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: JSW Steel; JK Cement; Jindal Stainless; NCL Industries; IL&FS Investment Managers; Godawari Power And Ispat; Biofil Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals; Bal Pharma; Amber Enterprises; Alpa Laboratories; AGC Networks; Oracle Financial Services Software.

Overall, 29 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 21 were trading in red in the morning trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 417.38 points up at 40400.36. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Metals - Ferrous, Retail, Banks and Airlines sectors, while selling were visible in Auto, Trading, Agro Processing, Pharmaceuticals and Pesticides/Agro Chemicals sectors.
