Stock market update: 28 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 42.00 points up at 14763.30 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Deepak Fertilizers, Orchid Pharma, Pritish Nandy Communications, Adani Power, Prabhat Dairy, Sundram Fasteners, NRB Industrial Bearings, NDTV, Godawari Power And Ispat and Emami Paper Mills.

In the Nifty 50 index, ITC, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Grasim Industries were among top gainers, while Infosys, Dr. Reddy's, Hero MotoCorp, HCL Tech and Coal India Ltd were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 123.81 points up at 49925.43. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Metals - Ferrous, Tobacco, Trading and Holding Company sectors, while selling were visible in Consumer Durables, Plastics, Services, Infrastructure and Electric/Electronics sectors.
