Stock market update: 26 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 48.10 points up at 11861.60 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Enterprises; Adani Gas; APL Apollo Tubes; Jet Airways; Majesco Ltd; Orchid Pharma; PI Industries; Raj Oil Mills; Bafna Pharmaceuticals; Greenpanel Industries; South West Pinnacle Exploration; Gulshan Polyols.

Overall, 36 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 14 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, Infosys and TCS were among top gainers, while UPL , Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC and PowerGrid were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 172.02 points up at 40433.15. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, IT Software, Metals - Ferrous, Retail and Apparels sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Agro Processing, Airlines, Real Estate and Fertilisers sectors.
