Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 75.35 points up at 14422.60 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Transmission; Amara Raja Batteries; Ashok Leyland; Balkrishna Industries; Eicher Motors; Emami; HDFC Bank; Jubilant Foodworks; Mahindra & Mahindra; Larsen & Toubro; Maruti Suzuki; MindTree; Persistent Systems; Tata Motors.
Overall, 25 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 25 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Tech, Tata Motors and Hind. Unilever were among top gainers, while Hindalco Inds., Tata Steel, Adani Ports SEZ, JSW Steel and Larsen & Toubro were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 295.96 points up at 49078.47. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, IT Software, Retail, Telecommunications and Auto sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, General, Learning & Education, Trading and Metals - Non Ferrous sectors.
