Stock market update: 176 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

The BSE Sensex was trading 285.83 points up at 46549.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 79.65 points up at 13647.50 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Apollo Tyres; Ashapura Minechem; Ashok Leyland; Burger King India; Computer Age Management Services (CAMS); Deepak Nitrite; Himatsingka Seide; Jindal Steel & Power; Nestle India; Shree Renuka Sugars; Sundaram Finance; Tata Power; Tata Steel; Voltas.

Overall, 34 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 14 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, HDFC, Divi's Labs, M&M, ONGC and Larsen & Toubro were among top gainers, while UltraTech Cements, ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors, GAIL and Tech Mahindra were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 285.83 points up at 46549. Traders were seen piling up position in Real Estate, Apparels, Diversified, Tea / Coffee and Consumer Durables sectors, while selling were visible in Electric/Electronics, Learning & Education, Agro Processing, Industrial Equipment and Trading sectors.
