Stock market update: 120 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 48.75 points up at 15222.05 on Friday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Ports & SEZ, Ambuja Cements, Amrutanjan Health Care, CAMS, Deepak Nitrite, Happiest Minds, JK Cement, Piramal Enterprises, The Ramco Cements, V-Mart Retail, TTK Prestige and Sundram Fasteners.

Overall, 21 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 28 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Infosys, Axis Bank and Wipro were among top gainers, while ITC, Coal India Ltd, ONGC, GAIL and Sun Pharma were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 199.11 points up at 51730.63. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Miscellaneous, Tea / Coffee, Defence and Airlines sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Trading, Tobacco, Auto and Aquaculture sectors.
