Stock market news: 130 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Overall, 23 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 27 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.

The BSE Sensex was trading 171.86 points down at 50674.22.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 63.35 points down at 15017.40 on Friday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: ACC, Arvind Fashions, Ambuja Cements, Deccan Cement, Equitas Small Finance Bank, IG Petrochemicals, Prabhat Dairy, Thomas Cook, UltraTech Cement, Welspun Enterprises, Fortis Healthcare and APL Apollo Tubes.

Overall, 23 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 27 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, GAIL, ONGC, Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp and UltraTech Cements were among top gainers, while IndusInd Bank, Wipro, SBI, Tata Motors and Hindalco Industries were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 171.86 points down at 50674.22. Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Retail, Gas & Petroleum, Trading and Glass sectors, while selling were visible in Infrastructure, Metals - Non Ferrous, Airlines, Cables and Defence sectors.
