Spice Comm up on strong Q4 results

MUMBAI: Spice Communications gained momentum Monday after strong quarter 4 results. At 11:45 am ,the stock was at Rs 35.50, up 2.90 per cent. Around 5,73,719 shares changed hands against two week average of 9,76,970 shares.

The company turned around into black as it posted a net profit of Rs 399.91 crore as against net loss of Rs 13.88 crore in same quarter previous year. Total income increased to Rs 725.34 crore for the quarter ended December as compared with Rs 213.34 crore a year ago. For the year ended December 2007, net profit stood at Rs 380.1 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 24.52 crore previous year. Total income increased to Rs 1473.8 crore for the year ended December from Rs 832.3 crore.
