The Supreme Court's ban on the use of pet coke in three states namely Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, sent cement stocks tumbling last week. The apex court has suggested that all states and Union territories consider prohibiting it, saying it has been a cause of pollution not only for the NCR but the entire nation. A number of cement makers use pet coke considerably. Will the ongoing development deal a big blow to an industry, most analysts have so far been positive on?
