Special weekend podcast: What to expect from Union Budget 2018

BCCL
Hi there!

This is Abhinav Kaul with the ETMarkets.com special podcast on the Union Budget, which will be tabled on February 1.

FM Arun Jaitley has a tough task at hand. His ministry would want to adhere to the path of fiscal prudence, which has earned the government praise from global rating agencies.

Yet he also needs to address the concerns about lack of jobs, cater to social welfare needs and look to raise farmers' income in line with the government target of doubling farm income by 2022.

If we go by last four Budgets, farmers, the poor and the youth were among the key subjects the FM talked about. This time could be no different.

Here we have Shyam Sekhar, founder and chief ideator of investment advisory firm iThought, and Pankaj Pandey, Head of Research at ICICI Direct, to share their views on what stock investors can expect from the FM in this Budget.
