CASE Platforms will oversee smallcase’s broader investment ecosystem, while the smallcase brand remains focused on model portfolios and related investment products.
The company is also changing the name of its mutual fund business, which it runs jointly with Zerodha. The fund house will be rebranded as Zerodha CASE Mutual Fund, with CASE Platforms becoming a co-sponsor and increasing its shareholding.
The mutual fund business, launched in 2023, follows a direct-only approach and offers investment products aimed at keeping costs and processes simple for investors. It now manages more than ₹17,500 crore and has around 12 lakh investors. CASE Platforms said its businesses collectively serve more than 20 million individual investors. It also provides technology used by more than 250 financial institutions.
The introduction of CASE Platforms, the copany said, recognises the company’s growth over the last decade. Over the last few years, it has expanded into portfolio management with Windmill Capital, market information and tools with Tickertape, secured credit with creditcase, and asset management through its joint venture with Zerodha. CASE Platforms brings these businesses together as an ecosystem united by a common purpose: helping individual investors access the right products and tools to build better financial outcomes, said the company in a release.
For smallcase users, the company said the rebranding will not change the smallcase platform itself. The brand will remain focused on its model portfolios business.
“We started with a simple idea of making investing more accessible. Since then, both the investing ecosystem and our ambitions have grown significantly. We built the smallcase brand for our model portfolios business, and that is where it will continue to belong. CASE Platforms is a new identity and name for the broader group, but our purpose remains the same — helping every Indian design better financial futures. As we grow and expand, we will keep building simple investment products and tools to enable investors to achieve their goals,” said Vasanth Kamath, Founder & CEO, CASE Platforms.
