MUMBAI: The Indian markets took a breather and closed on a flat-to-positive note after a ‘risk-on’ rally last week. The market is likely to take cues from IIP, inflation data and the US Federal Reserve meet for direction in the near term, say dealers.

Following are the stocks that buzzed today in a rangebound trade:

Pantaloon Retail:

The stock gained momentum on Future Group’s plan to merge Future Value Retail, which houses Big Bazaar and Food Bazaar, with Pantaloon Retail, that runs the group’s smaller retail operations, in order to cut operating costs and restore investor confidence. The company got Peter England board’s approval for demerger of co’s format business.

Bharti Airtel:

Bharti Airtel was second top most gainer on the Nifty on reports that Bharti Infratel, the tower arm of the company, is likely to file a draft prospectus with the market regulator for raising Rs 5,000 crore through an initial public offering.

The stock closed at Rs260.45, up 2.32 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 261 and a low of Rs 254.50 in trade today.

ARSS Infrastructure Projects:

Shares of ARSS Infrastructure Projects were locked on 20 per cent upper circuit after the company entered into a master restructuring agreement with lenders. The recast agreement is a part of CDR approved by its lenders.

The stock closed at Rs 44.40, up 20 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 44.40 and a low of Rs 37.80 in trade today.

Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals:

Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals moved higher on receiving final approvals from the USFDA to manufacture and market Amlodipine Besylate and Benazepril Hydrochloride capsules, used for treating hypertension.

The stock ended at Rs 131.35, up 2.74 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 133.90 and a low of Rs 128.70 in trade today.

Adani Power, Adani Enterprises:

Adani Power, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, announced that the phase III of its 4,620 MW power plant in Mundra, Gujarat, has received carbon credits worth Rs 600 crore under the clean development mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Adani Power ended at Rs 42.35, up 3.42 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 42.55 and a low of Rs 39.55 in trade today.

Adanit Enterprises closed at Rs 169.75, up 9.41 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 171 and a low of Rs 153.50 in trade today.
