Shree Cements Ltd. shares drop 0.99% as Sensex rises

Back home a gradual easing of lockdown measures in major global economies lifted domestic equity benchmarks for the third session in a row.
Shares of Shree Cements Ltd. traded 0.99 per cent down at Rs 22834.3 at 11:48AM (IST) on Wednesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 231.79 points to 35147.59. The stock had closed at Rs 23061.85 in the previous session.

The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 25341.2 and Rs 15500.0, respectively.

As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 11:48AM (IST) stood at 11:48AM shares with turnover at Rs 1.16 crore.


At the prevailing price, the stock trades at 54.08 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 425.67 per share and 6.27 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.16.
