Share market update: Tyre stocks advance; Balkrishna Industries rises 4%

The 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 564.79 points at 41382.53.

Goa Carbon (up 4.99 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 3.82 per cent) and TVS Srichakra (up 2.95 per cent) were the top gainers among tyre stocks.

NEW DELHI: Tyre stocks were trading with gains in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Goa Carbon (up 4.99 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 3.82 per cent), TVS Srichakra (up 2.95 per cent), Phillips Carbon (up 2.91 per cent), CEAT (up 2.81 per cent), J K Tyre & Industries (up 1.82 per cent), MRF (up 1.68 per cent), Oriental Carbon & Chem (up 1.47 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tirupati Tyres (down 3.61 per cent), Govind Rubber (down 1.84 per cent) and Goodyear India (down 0.44 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 167.70 points up at 12193.05, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 564.79 points at 41382.53 at around 01:46 pm.
