Share market update:16 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 116.95 points down at 8994.95 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were Bafna Pharmaceuticals, Biocon, Dr. Reddy's Lab, FDC, Raj Rayon Industries, Ruchi Soya Industries and S&S Power Switchgears.

Overall, 13 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 36 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.


In the Nifty 50 index, Larsen & Toubro, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Sun Pharma, Coal India Ltd and Bharti Airtel were among top gainers.

While Zee Ent., Bajaj Finance, Titan Company , ONGC and M&M were trading in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 428.74 points down at 30730.88 .
